In honor of Juneteenth, BRIC, CRUX and GRX Immersive are partnering to host a free and open to the public screening of the mixed reality experience, POV: Points of View created and directed by Alton Glass.Â
Â
The project aims to educate communities on the systemic threat of implicit bias in emerging technologies used by law enforcement. Its mission is to engage with the development of ongoing civic technologies and prompt ethical oversight into the research and development areas like facial recognition, data, privacy, surveillance, and artificial intelligence.Â
In partnership with POV: Points of View, Amnesty International invites all of the Pop-Up attendees to become an Amnesty Decoder. As a Decoder, you will be a part of a new groundbreaking platform that tags CCTV cameras and locates facial recognition technology in New York City.
Â
You must reserve a time for all members of your party and complete the provided COVID-19 Compliance Form in order to confirm your attendance to the mixed reality screening.

Los Angeles 2025. As an Insighter, you have been requested to review Case File 456.23 at the Federal Drone Headquarters.Â
The case centers around 21-year-old Cassius Moore, a gifted Black coder, who qualifies for early release under a new drone-surveillance program after serving two years in prison for biometric hacking. In this program, the government assigns F.E.N.I.X. AI--a drone that is equipped with artificial intelligence and weapons to record Cassius’ every move.Â
Follow F.E.N.I.X. and the former engineering student as they navigate the world together. Your task is to evaluate how machine driven data and human driven biases impact the algorithms and outcomes in law enforcement.Â

As tech continues to be used as a utility to ease and enhance the human experience, that creates a very easy pathway for negative biases to be naturally inserted and wrongly used. This significant and weighty conversation tackles how creators can combat implicit bias in technology with impact storytelling.
To gain an understanding on how racism and prejudicial information intersects with data, privacy, and predictive policing, featured guests for this episode are Alton Glass - Storyteller and CEO of GRX Immersive Lab - an XR content and talent development studio, and Erinn Budd - Full Service Creative.
